[Sponsored Report] IBK launches school for small business workers

Apr 30,2018
The IBK (Industrial Bank of Korea) held the opening ceremony for the IBK Namdong Love Kindergarten on April 4 at the Incheon Namdong Industrial Complex. It is the first-ever kindergarten for employees of small financial companies.

The IBK provided the third floor of its Namdong Industrial Complex branch for free and helped cover the installation and management fees along with the Korea Workers’ Compensation & Welfare Service and the Incheon Metropolitan Government.

Employees from a consortium of 29 small businesses in the Namdong Industrial Complex can send their children to the kindergarten. Currently, 24 children of 13 employees at the complex attend the kindergarten.

The IBK and the Korea Workers’ Compensation & Welfare Service agreed to establish the special kindergarten last September, and they are planning to create two more similar kindergartens.

“The company expects the kindergarten to be great a help in solving the work-family balance and low fertility rate issues. The company will proceed with various social contribution activities to do our duty as a companion to small businesses,” said an official at the IBK.
