Posco to teach 5,500 young Koreans how to get a job

Posco will support 5,500 young job seekers over the next five years to help them find employment or start their own business, the company said Thursday.

The steelmaker will open up three training programs that teach job seekers about the latest technology related to artificial intelligence and big data, basic job training to work at companies, and how to found a business.

Trainees will have to stay together at a camp to participate in any of the programs. Food, accommodation and a monthly allowance will also be provided.

The training period will range from three weeks to three months depending on the course.
