Porsche Korea gets new CEO as Kirsch heads to Japan

July 29,2019
Porsche Korea is appointing Holger Gerrmann, financial director from the design group at the company’s Stuttgart headquarters, as its new CEO effective September 16.

The Korean unit of the sports carmaker said in a statement Friday that Gerrmann will replace CEO Michael Kirsch.

Gerrmann has a “broad knowledge across all distribution levels” and brings “many years of international experience,” said Detlev von Platen, member of the executive board for sales and marketing at Porsche.

Before serving as the financial director for the design group for two years, Gerrmann occupied various positions in the Porsche financial department and served nine years as the financial director for the automaker’s retail group.

Kirsch is going to leave his current position starting next month to serve as the new CEO for Porsche Japan. Until Gerrmann assumes his new role in Korea, the Korean unit will be temporarily headed by Porsche Korea CFO Christian Nater.
