LG U+ has introduced a pet care service for anxious pet owners looking for a way to take care of their furry friends even when they’re not at home.

The service allows pet owners to remotely play with their pets and observe their behavioral patterns. It includes three gadgets: a camera, light and fitness device.

The mobile carrier on Tuesday said it has introduced the smart home pet care service on the back of the rise in the number of people who have pets in Korea.

The camera can rotate 360 degrees, enabling pet owners to observe and record their pets’ behaviors. Owners can also receive a report that analyzes the pet’s behavioral patterns, like the number of times they ate.

Pet owners can control the fitness device via a smartphone app, allowing them to play with their pets remotely. The device, a small, wheeled robot that can move around, can also be set to operate at certain times.

The mobile carrier said owners can control the brightness of the light and turn on music to help pets relax.

LG U+ said subscribers can enjoy benefits like getting insurance for their pets and using the pet hotel service at the Molly’s Pet Shop franchise.

Kang Hyung-wook, a prominent dog trainer known in Korea as the dog president, said the service could be helpful to owners whose pets have separation anxiety.

“Consumers these days are concerned about upgrading the mental state and the overall life quality of their pets on top of their physical health,” said a spokesperson for LG U+ in a statement.

“We have introduced the service to reflect that desire. We will continue to upgrade our pet care service to create a culture that can satisfy both pets and pet owners.”

The service is priced at 11,000 won ($9.80) a month without value-added tax for a three-year contract.
