Lee Hyori gives her tenants a break after difficult month

Mar 12,2020
TV personality and singer Lee Hyori decided not to collect rent at a building that she owns this month in light of the coronavirus outbreak, one of her tenants in Seoul told X Sports News Wednesday.

“Lee told me last month that I don’t have to pay her the rent for March,” the tenant said. “It’s been so difficult lately to run a business because of the outbreak. I am so thankful that she decided to do this.”

The building, situated in Yongsan District, central Seoul, has a restaurant that specializes in traditional Korean food, a wine bar and office spaces.

Joining in the efforts recently, the Nakwon Instrument Arcade in Jongno District, central Seoul, also decided to scrap a few months’ rent for its tenants, amounting to a total of nearly 400 million won ($334,000).
