Police officers operate a traffic stop looking for drunken drivers in Daejeon on Tuesday night, as a revised law with tougher punishments for drunken driving took effect. The Yoon Chang-ho Law is named after the 22-year-old soldier who died after he was struck by a drunken driver. The updated law stipulates that drunk drivers face punishment of up to life in prison if it leads to death. [NEWS1]
