Tarmac trouble

June 27,2018
Two planes from Korean carriers collide Tuesday at Gimpo International Airport in western Seoul, causing damage to part of the jets and a delay in takeoff. A Korean Air Boeing 777’s tail, circled, hit the wing of an Asiana Airlines Airbus 330 in the airport’s apron at around 8 a.m., according to the authorities. No passengers were aboard either of the planes. There were two mechanical workers on each the planes, and neither of them were hurt. The accident caused damage to parts of the planes and a four-hour delay in their departures. The Korean Air plane was bound for Osaka and the Asiana flight was heading for Beijing. [YONHAP]
