Air Seoul to launch flights to Fukuoka in August

June 28,2018
Air Seoul, the budget unit of Asiana Airlines, said Wednesday that it will launch a new route to Fukuoka, a city in southern Japan.

The debut service to Fukuoka will start on Aug. 27, and will use a 195-seat A321-200. Flights will be available every day except Fridays until Sept. 28, when the carrier will add more flights. The planned service to the city on the southern island of Kyushu will raise the total number of Japanese destinations offered by Air Seoul to 11.

The low-cost carrier also plans to open a route to Okinawa and to Chitose, the gateway to Hokkaido, later this year.

Air Seoul currently operates six A321 chartered planes - two configured for 220 passengers and four with 195 seats.

The budget carrier plans to add a seventh A321 plane to its fleet in the second half of this year to meet steadily-rising demand.
