Portuguese pork companies approved to sell in Korea

Ten Portuguese companies have been authorized to export fresh and processed pork to Korea, according to the Portuguese Embassy in Seoul on Tuesday.

The announcement follows a September 19 approval from Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for the Portuguese companies to engage in the trade.

The embassy noted that the new opportunity will be important to agribusiness in the Portugal.

The 10 exporters are: Caso, Carmonti, Salsicharia Estremocence, Matadouro Central de Entre Douro e Minho, ICM, Raporal, Sicasal, Monte D’alva, A. Pires Lourenco & Filhos, and Montebravo.
