Dashcams to be preinstalled in all Hyundai and Kia cars

Mar 01,2019
Hyundai Motor and its affiliate Kia Motors said Thursday that they will install drive video record systems (DVRS), or dashcams, in upcoming new models to enhance customer convenience.

DVRS will enable drivers to check recorded videos in the audio, video and navigation system built in a vehicle’s cockpit module, as well as on their smartphones, Hyundai Motor Group said in a statement.

The group decided to “gradually” apply the built-in DVRS in new models as it topped other convenience devices in a recent consumer survey, it said.
