BAT Korea reintroduces KENT cigarettes in 2 flavors

July 02,2019
British American Tobacco (BAT) Korea reintroduced its leading brand “KENT” to the local market Monday as it strives to improve its standing in Korea.

The Korean unit of the London-based tobacco company said in a statement that KENT cigarettes will be slimmer with reduced tar and come with crushable capsules in two different flavors.

Many local consumers are already familiar with the brand as BAT Korea previously sold KENT cigarettes in Korea from 2000 to 2016.

KENT products will be produced in BAT Korea’s factory in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang, which recently celebrated an accumulated production milestone of 300 billion cigarettes, the company said.

For a limited time period, BAT will offer KENT at the price of 3,500 won ($3.01) per pack, 1,000 won lower than the price of most cigarettes sold in Korea.
