[VIDEO NEWS] “We Are One” concert in Pyongyang

1) On Tuesday, the joint concert between North and South Korean artists, “We Are One,” was held successfully in Pyongyang at the Ryugyong Jong Ju Yong Gymnasium.

2) “We will now begin the joint concert of North and South Korean artists.”

4) The audience’s faces were expressionless, but they paid attention while the girl group Red Velvet performed their hit song “Red Flavor.”

5) Folk rock singer Kang San-ae showed tears, saying he was “moved” when the audience applauded after he performed his song “Said.”

6) The song is based on his mother, who came to South Korea from the North during the Korean War.

7) Singer Lee Sun-hee sang her hit song “To J,” exchanging verses with North Korean singer Kim Ok-ju.

8) The audience gave Lee, who showed off her powerful voice by singing “The Beautiful Country,” a passionate round of applause.

9) The next songs were sung together by North and South Korean artists. They sang “Paektu and Halla Are My Home,” “Our Wish is Reunification” and “Let’s Meet Again.”

10) The audience stood up and waved their hands as they sang along to “Our Wish is Reunification.”

11) The concert was hosted by singer Seohyun and Choi Hyo-song, an announcer for the North’s Korean Central Television. When the concert ended, the whole stadium stood up for a standing ovation that lasted more than 10 minutes.

12) The South Korean delegates, including the artists and taekwondo performers, arrived at Incheon International Airport early this morning on a chartered flight from Sunan Airport, Pyongyang.
