[VIDEO NEWS] President Moon and the first lady go to Bongjeong Temple

1) President Moon Jae-in and first lady Kim Jung-sook visited Bongjeong Temple, a Unesco world heritage site, in Andong, North Gyeongsang, on July 28.

2) Among the seven mountain temples and monasteries registered as Unesco world heritage sites, Bongjeong Temple was the one site President Moon had yet to visit.

3) “I haven’t been here before, until now.”

4) “I’ve always wanted to come here.” - President Moon.

5) The president and first lady toured around Geungnakjeon Hall, known for its wooden architecture, and the main sanctuary, which uses Dapo (multi-bracket) style architecture, and went to appreciate the “Painting of the Vulture Peak Assembly” kept in storage at Bongjeong Temple.

6) The president is taking five vacation days for the summer starting from July 30.
