[VIDEO NEWS] Team launch ceremony for the South Korean team for the Asian Games

1) The South Korean team for the 2018 Jakarta Palembang Asian Games, which will start from Aug. 18, held a team launch ceremony on Aug. 7.

2) Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon, Chairman Ahn Min-seok of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee, Korean Sport & Olympic Committee President Lee Kee-heung and Kim Seong-jo, chief delegate for the Asian Games for South Korea, attended the ceremony.

3) “I hope that players from both [North and South Korean] teams can collaborate and understand each other inside and outside of the stadium and get along well.” - Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon

4) This year, North and South Korean players will participate in the opening and closing ceremony together and play in women’s basketball, canoe and rowing in joint teams.

5) The South Korean team hopes to win more than 65 medals and to come in second place for the sixth consecutive time.
