Interest in Korean culture and language is rising among foreign athletes at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games. To show their interest in the host country, some athletes are putting Korean words on their uniforms and waving the South Korean flag.
Left: New Zealand athletes wrote “New Zealand” in Korean on the back and left-arm sleeve of their long padded coats, below the English print.
